The park: she swings and she hangs.

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

After practicing, teaching and coaching (and some tongue-hanging-out-ing), she has finally figured out how to swing herself.  Let me say, this makes a trip to the park even more enjoyable for us.  She even gets herself started from a complete stand-still.

And, the toddler?  Well, she hangs.  On everything.  She’s got huge upper-body strength.  She even hangs from the fridge handles with her arms bent.  She is a little hoss.   And, of course, daddy is near by to spot her.

Another fun day at the park for the Serious family.

    1. Well, she’s almost four…but I know kids that are six that don’t have it down…lots of practice.

  2. It is THE best when they figure out swinging for themselves.

  3. Loving that fiery red hair! Even more, loving your blog name!!

  4. It is SUCH a fun thing when they learn to pump by themselves. Since putting the playset in the backyard all three boys have learned to do it. It makes my life so much easier. Even Ben knows how now and he is only THREE! I couldn’t believe it. Very happy. 🙂
I love that shot of your little monkey hanging. So cute! 🙂

  5. She is just so, SO cute!! My husband brought home a pull up bar the other day. Gracie has been swinging from that thing ever since–I’m sure your little hoss (ha! that one made me laugh) would be right there with her!

  6. Learning to use their body momentum to keep the swing going is huge. I had to teach the twins this summer since once they go to school they don’t have mommy to push them. I should have taught them LONG ago. It DOES make going to the park way more enjoyable when you don’t have to stand there and push all afternoon. 🙂

Hmmm….perhaps a future gymnast in that little one?

  8. Your little red haired girls are just adorable Krystyn! What cute photos of both of them. 🙂

  9. Oh I love it!

My daughter does the belly swing 🙂 I remember the teaching and coaching, it’s fun and interesting to watch the move from, I wont touch that, to them actually running full speed ahead to jump on a swing!

    Love the photos!

    Hope your Wednesday was lovely.

  10. Wowwwwww, look how strong that toddler is! I think they make kids much stronger than in the past. LOL! Cute photos, your girls are so adorable. 😀
