The perfect a-mountain of lizard | PSF

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

Sometimes they know just what to say or how to say it to change my mood completely.

Yesterday, Mr. Serious was home late from work and today, he had a “client dinner” (where they wine and dine him and a couple other coworkers), so it was me and the girls solo. I’m just a little run down, I guess.

(Up a couple times at night, being a mom taxi, figuring out a schedule for the little one, etc. The life of a mom of three small kids).

So, I might have bribed a bit tonight and told them we’d get a treat after dinner if they behaved and ate their dinner. Thank goodness. It worked. (The only setback was that I made the mistake of telling them we would go to DQ. Next time I’ll just tell them when we get there. Instead of it being a treat, they wanted to bargain for other places like donuts and the fro-yo place.)

I told them we could get blizzards and share them. That wasn’t good enough.

#1 wanted a cone. #2 didn’t know what she wanted.

On the way, she decided. “I want the perfect amountain of lizard.” And, I could’t help but smile. I was and am so happy that I did this little trip with my girls. It made them smile. It made me smile.

(Yes, she knows it’s “amount” not “amountain” but now she says it wrong on purpose, do get a laugh. She’s seriously going to be the class clown.)

In all truth, though, the mini? It is the perfect amountain of lizard. (For the record, hers was m&m, mine was heath, no lizards involved).

    1. HAHA! I’m glad she doesn’t think she’s getting a mountain of it!

  1. Yum. I totally thought it was going to be full of gummy lizards.

My girls love Friday night frozen yogurt or ice cream treats. It’s what we’ll do instead of eating dinner out. We have one of those “You Say When Yogurt” places but I call it, “When mama says when”. 😉

    1. She actually wanted gummies, but I don’t think DQ has them:)

Oh yeah, mom definitely gets to say how much at the diy yogurt places.

      (fixed the link, too).

  2. Awww so sweet! Once in a while we all have to bribe! The “Lizards” sound delicious!

BTW, did I know you went private? Guess I’ve been bad and haven’t visited in a while.

You are in the thick of it right now. It is so hard with a baby, a toddler/preschooler, and one in school. So busy. So crazy.
I’m glad you take time to treat yourself (and them) once in a while. Try to go easy on yourself right now. It is survival mode time. 🙂

    1. And, you know what we figured out…we’ll have ONE year when they are all in the same school!

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming…
