The Serious Girls and Santa: 2006-2011

Two Serious Girls with Santa.  The Story Continues.

(Last year, I did the succession of pictures, but I just couldn’t add one and not re-show the others…so indulge me!)

2011: Atlanta

Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Chick again.  Those are WAY better smiles than I ever get.  Best so far.

One girl wished for “a lot of princesses; two Ariels, two Belles, two Sleeping Beauties, etc.”

The other girl decided right before to ask for a “book or a toy” and came up with a “Scooby Doo book because we don’t have one of those.”

2010: Helen, Georgia

Santa and Mrs. Claus are sitting without a line. Mrs. Claus lures #2 with a candy cane.  Success.  Two smiling girls with Santa.

2009: Atlanta

Santa and the Mrs. at the Chick.  One girl wishes for an Ariel doll.  One girl wishes to get the heck away from these strangers.

2008: Santa on the Square

Two very unhappy girls.  Terrified of the nice man in the red suit.  Neither cared about Ariel dolls or candy canes.

2007: Santa on the Square

One terrified girl.  Actually, she was quite pissed at me and Santa.  Surprisingly, Santa still visited.

2006: Santa in Smyrna, Georgia

One pretty chill little girl.  If only we knew what the future held.

  1. Our last attempt was much like your 2008 picture. And I haven’t tried again since. Your girls’ picture from this year gives me hope, though. Such great smiles!

    1. So, did you end up trying this year? They wanted to see Santa everywhere.

  2. This is great! I’ll have to steal this one day…or better yet organize the pics lol!!! They’ve come a long way 🙂

    1. Yes, you should definitely do it. I bet it would be a hoot!

(PS I organize mine by year and then month, so November 2011 has it’s own folder. I can usually find what I’m looking for, but need to work on tagging my pictures).

    1. I’m glad they are getting okay with Santa strangers. Hopefully, they aren’t the same with all strangers.

  3. and next year there will be three littles on that lap!! sooo awesome!!

  4. Oh my goodness! What a wonderful progression of memories! Seems like they are taking to Santa a little better this year!

  5. Oh, my. I have to apologize. I laughed. At your sweet babies…I laughed.

I love it. 2007 & 2009 are total winners for me.

This is precious!! They have both grown SO much over such a few short years! Pretty, pretty baby girls!!

    1. Apologies no necessary! I laugh every time I look at them. 2007 and 2009…they have the same gigantic mouth, don’t they? Never realized I had captured that before.

  6. That is a great picture! Wow!
I love all the Christmases past too. It is fun to compare. 🙂

    1. It’s really neat (ugh, not a fan of that word) to see the progress because I know they are taken at almost the exact same time every year.

  7. What a fun photo review! I totally need to get my boys to go see Santa this year!

    1. Did you get them there this year? It’s one of the only things I think I consistently do every Christmas.

  8. My kid wasn’t so sure about Santa the first couple times we saw him either. Totally missed him this year so I have no idea how he would have reacted now that he is five. 🙂 When he was four…last year..he knew the guy playing Santa was totally fake so I’m afraid he is already catching on.

    1. Our girls know that the Santa that’s out and about is Santa that acts in place of the real one (I think they do)..but we’ve lucked out and taken them/ended up seeing a Santa that has his own real beard every year. I think that helps.

  9. AWWWW! I love “through the years with santa!” Adorable how things have changed! I think they are getting to know him a little better! 🙂

    1. Thank goodness they are liking him better! And, it’s crazy to me that it’s been 5 years since the first one!

  10. Grandma Pat says:

Cute picture this year. Glad you added all the past years.

  11. I like how they have gotten happier about the picture with Santa through the years.

    1. Oh, they love Santa now..I think they finally get it that he brings them presents.

  12. Angel Collins says:

Ah! What a site to see. Little kids are so unpredictable. Now they like Santa and when they see him in person, they sometimes freak out but they still look cute, right? I believe that Christmas is really for kids and Santa– altogether. 🙂 Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  13. Ha! This made me laugh, thank you. The progression is hilarious. And could they be cuter? I think not.

    1. Of course, I have to agree..they are pretty stinking cute..even with their mouths open and screaming:)
