Upside down and snuggly Mommy and Me Monday | The 159th ed
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Read my post about why I blog with words from a friends’ husband.
Everyday on instagram (follow me, @SeriousKrystyn), I follow a prompt by FatMumSlim for a photo-a-day challenge. It helps keep the creative juices flowing. My picture quality is often less than stellar, but the memories are sometimes fabulous.
Case in point? Upside down was a prompt one day this week. I was waiting in bed for the girls to get ready to read, and leaned over the side. Viola. Upside down with the oldest. Yep, we totally have the same eyes.
And, because I have it, this super grainy number is brought to you by a sleepy, non-afternoon napping E who spiked a fever this week. Fever and tired E? Equals falling asleep in mommy’s arms. Hasn’t happened in a while. So, of course, I rocked her and snuggled her for a long time and breathed her in. Pretty sure that no mom ever said they regretted taking that time to hold their sleeping baby. So very thankful for the opportunity to hold and love on her.
**There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.**
I try to make sure and visit all of you and leave some comment love. Please spread the love! And, I never mind the comments, either:)
You are such a good mom. It makes my heart smile that you enjoy mothering so much. Some of my other young friends are so overwhelmed by the task that they fail to enjoy the moments that will be but a memory before they know it. I’m glad that you relish the moments. Hugs
I definitely have my overwhelming moments….I just try not to dwell on them:)
rocking babies to sleep is one of the greatest pleasures on earth. Man you and the oldest look so much alike. little twinkies.
We’ve got some good genes:)
Great upside down shot – I missed that one on the feed this week!
Now we know what was going..I wonder if this same thing happened to another friend because I can’t see her pictures or even find her.
Such a cute shot of the littles. I’ll have to keep my eye out. Thanks!
Thanks! We are silly.
I love that you include fur babies in your rules for participation! I hate being in front of the camera, but maybe I’ll get brave and join in!
Yes, you totally should! You’re a fur-mom and that counts.
Great upside down shot. I’m afraid to see what a pic of my face upside down would look like. Lol 😉
I’m pretty thankful it’s a grainy shot!
Super cute, I just can’t figure out how your faces aren’t all red!
It was a quick picture.
Love it.
It is funny how sometimes it is nice when they have a little cold because they finally slow down and let us hold them again. We need to take every opportunity that we get. It all goes too quickly.
Glad you took advantage of the situation.
Oh, I did…and this weekend too when she got a tummy bug that’s still lingering.
love the upside down one.. you both totally do have the same eyes 🙂
I think that’s why everybody thinks we look so much alike.
Super cute, hope little E feels better soon!
We’ve gone from one ick to the next…not fun.
Poor little thing! Love the upside down shot too.
It’s definitely not fun when they are sick.
I just love that you do this feature. It is so important to get out from behind the camera (or use the forward-facing feature on your smartphone, ahem). You and your adorable family will cherish these memories forever 🙂
Yes ma’am. Guilty as charged, but that front camera has saved my week a couple times.
Adorable. Enjoy it before they get too old for it!
Totally enjoying!
Cute upsidedown.
Thanks! I do think we look better right-side up!
i love that super grainy one of you and e – so very artsy!!
It’s the only way you can *kind of* see the picture. Thankful for the night time edit option.
