Planning that 10 year anniversary trip

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

This past December, we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. We always said we were going to do something big and fun to celebrate. We were thinking a vacation or maybe renewing our vows or something like that. But, with the “baby-due-any-day-now” on the horizon, planning a vacation or trip wasn’t in the cards for us.

But, that doesn’t mean we didn’t daydream about it. And, it doesn’t mean we can’t start talking about what we want to do. After all, did you know that just daydreaming and the vacation planning process alone boosts happiness? In fact, just anticipating a vacation can boost happiness for eight weeks. So, until we can actually take that trip and relive our honeymoon (how was this already 10 years ago?), I’ll stick to planning out a vacation.

Honeymoon

Right now RCI is hosting “Win Your Dream Vacation Sweepstakes” to help you plan out your dream vacation and give you the chance to win it (one grand prize is worth up to $25,000). And, it’s not just for one person, in fact, a total of 40 prizes will be given away in celebration of RCI’s 40th anniversary.

My Dream Vacation

RCI is the global leader in vacation exchange and is hosting this sweepstakes until June 18th. Of course, they’ve gone social, too. The more you share your dream vacation, the higher your chances of winning.

My Dream Vacation

I wanted to try out the sweepstakes and plan my dream vacation (you should, too. How awesome would it be if one of you won!). Since we honeymooned at the beach and haven’t really been to one since, I thought the beach was the way to go. Because it’s warm and sunny and beautiful and dreamy. Yes, all of those things. I’ve heard that Costa Rica is amazing and is a hot spot for travel, so I picked that as my dream destination.

My Dream Vacation

Something that would make my vacation better and more stress-free? All-inclusive. I love knowing exactly how much we are going to spend before we even leave the house. Of course, we would set aside some extra money if we wanted to do an excursion, but I really like the idea of having all of my food and drinks planned out and paid for. It just takes off so much stress when planning.

While I love my kiddos and enjoy going places with them, my dream vacation is just me and Mr. Serious. No worrying about missed naps (unless they are mine) or losing zippy cups (unless they are mine and full of a frozen beverage), and stressing about eating a late night dinner without anybody having a meltdown.

Now that I’ve already planned out my dream trip, I’m ready to go! Hopefully, something is in the cards for next year!
