Having never seen WordWorld, we were really excited when this arrived in the mail from NCircle Entertainment.
If you’ve never seen the show before (on PBS here), all of the animals as well as inanimate objects are drawn using the word for whatever they are. For example, a barn is drawn with the word “BARN” and a sheep is the word “Sheep.” Also, the animals are all called by their names, thus helping with word recognition. It also uses rhyming, phonetics and pronunciation to help preschool aged kids with their reading.

The Kooky Spooky Halloween features Sheep who always has the costume to beat as well as many other animals. Sheep ends up sharing all of the pieces of her costume to add the finishing touches to all of her friends’ costumes. In the end, they are able to put new words together to give her a new costume.
