Why you want to use the new CVS Curbside service

It always seems that I’m in need of something from the store when the kids are sick, I have all of them in the car, or I’m parenting solo. And, I have to be honest, hitting the store with all four of my kiddos can be a challenge. Especially when it’s for a couple things. Or it’s that rare weekend where Mr. Serious is out of town and we ran out of milk and cereal.

Why I want to use CVS Curbside Service?

Because I don’t want to take my sick kids into the store. Because I don’t want to take them all in to ask for all the things when we run out of milk and cereal. Because I don’t want to buy extra things I don’t need. Because I don’t want to go into a store sweaty after a workout. Because shopping in pajamas is sometimes a necessary thing.

When CVS told me about their new CVS Curbside Service, I knew they were knocking it out of the park for parents. So many times, after a visit to the pediatrician for a sick visit (and let’s be honest a long wait), I have to pick up a prescription. But, that also means that I need some sort of over-the-counter medication and often some sort of character adhesive bandage, because when your kids are sick, those always make things better. The prescription is no problem to pick up, but taking the sick kids into the store to hunt down the OTC product, is often a challenge.

Placing my CVS Curbside Service Order

At the visit with the doctor (or in my kitchen, or from my bed, or from the rocking chair in my kids’ room), I can pull out my phone, login to the CVS app and go to the CVS Curbside Express section, find my closest store and place my order, including payment.

It’s ready within an hour and both times I’ve ordered so far, it was actually ready within 10 minutes! When the order is ready, I received a text message with a pick up code.

Once I arrived at the store, I pulled into the CVS Curbside pick up parking spot and opened the app. Since the location settings must be turned on, the app alerts the store I am there.

Seconds later, there is a cashier with my items, I check my order and make sure everything is included, they scan the pick up code and I leave, with all of my items in hand, with no trip into the store required.<

My kids can sleep in the car while I’m picking up groceries, or medicine or toilet paper. It really doesn’t matter what I need to buy, the fact that I can purchase in the app and that I don’t need to get out of the car are huge for me and makes this a game changer for parents, caregivers and well, anybody that buys “things!”

CVS Curbside Promotion Code

Here’s the sweet part for you. You can get $10 off your first curbside pickup order, with no minimum purchase using code: 10CVSCURBSIDE which will expire on 8/7. Right now, this is in pilot markets of Atlanta, San Francisco and Charlotte, North Carolina.

BUT, WAIT, THERE’S MORE!!!

I’ve posted a giveaway on Facebook for you to share your experience of CVS Curbside Pickup first-hand! Doing so, will enter you to win one of three (3) $50 CVS gift cards if you share your experience (gift cards provided by CVS), the selection of recipients will be at random.

So, what do you think? Are you ready to try out the new CVS Curbside Service using the $10 off promotion code?

great to see a pharmacy jump on the curbside service band wagon. I wonder how they keep cold items cold while waiting for the customer to pick up?

Now that is a good deal for Mamas and babies. Or just Mamas that need a second to themselves. Or anyone. Or me. I need this.
