Apparently, it’s national strawberry month. I had no idea this was a thing, but we’ve been on a huge strawberry kick, so I figured why not continue! While strawberries are amazing on their own sometimes it’s fun to dip them. And many other fruits, too. So, we whipped up some easy fruit dip that takes minutes. In fact, it took longer to take the pictures than it did to make it.

I decided to use Plain Stonyfield Organic Whole Milk yogurt, but this would be amazing with a vanilla flavor as well and / or greek yogurt (use fat free Greek Yogurt to make it lower fat/calorie). It also has brown sugar and citrus fresh essential oil (a splash of orange juice would work, but might thin it out, or Grand Marnier if it’s for adults).

This is one my handy kitchen helper did on her own. It’s that easy. You just have to mix 1 cup of yogurt, 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1-2 drops of citrus fresh essential oil.

Making the fruit dip

If you can wait long enough, to plate it, you get the benefits of eating it. It’s good right away, but if you can leave it in the fridge and let the flavors mesh, it’s even better!

It couldn’t be any easier to grab most of the ingredients from Walmart and mix them together. It’s fast and easy and perfect for bringing a side dish to a party or setting out for a snack.

I love this idea. I would never have thought to add a drop of essential oil to yogurt, I can’t wait to try it.
