Easy Family and Kid-Friendly Treats

We don’t do dessert every night at our house. Sometimes it’s a piece of fruit or yogurt. Sometimes it’s some air-popped popcorn with a movie. Other times we do have sweet and tasty desserts. Most of the time, they aren’t too crazy. And almost all of the time they are easy. (There are lots of times in our house, no?) Suffice it to say, we like our treats like the Dairy-Free Green Smoothie Ice Pops we made.

If I open the freezer door after lunch, I have four very giddy girls. Especially when two of them went with me to the store! We went to our local Target and got the Fruttare® Mango. When I told the girls we were looking, they said they wanted to get mango. They lucked out because it was the only flavor our store had.

We could go through a tree full of mangos a day! We had mango with dinner and then we had a Fruttare® Mango for our after dinner treat. Fruttare® frozen fruit bars are a delicious line of frozen fruit bars made with real fruit you can taste.

This girl absolutely devoured hers. You think she’s tiny…and then give her something frozen and delicious and she’s all over it. To me, it was very creamy and like a sorbet with the taste of a frozen mango. There was no trying to guess what fruit was in it. There were even nice whole chunks of fruit.

The Fruttare® brand, inspired by a positive outlook on life, currently sources sustainably farmed strawberries, coconuts, bananas, and limes and offers nine deliciously refreshing frozen fruit bar flavors: Fruttare® Strawberry, Fruttare® Mango, Fruttare® Coconut and Milk, Fruttare® Black Cherry, Fruttare® Banana and Milk, Fruttare® Pineapple, Fruttare® Strawberry and Milk, Fruttare® Lime, Fruttare® Strawberry and Milk and Fruttare® Mixed Berry and Milk. I hope the next time we go to the store, we can find the pineapple. That sounds amazing!

Since we do such a wide variety of Easy Kid-Friendly Treats, I thought I would remind you of some of the others we’ve made in the past!

  1. Those look delicious!!!
And, just so you know, I bought some organic chia seeds because of you. I LOVE THEM. I just mix them with almond milk, a bit of honey, and a bit of vanilla. Delicious! I tried your recipe too. It was so good. Thanks!

    1. So good!

And, awesome! They are so good, aren’t they? I’ve never thought to add honey? That sounds perfect!

Oh, and to jazz up some juice or other beverage, you can put like 1T into a full container and let it sit for a bit. It sort of adds that same texture, but more diluted. I like to think of it as a fun drink. My kids look at me like I’m crazy!
