It seems most of our waking hours at our house revolve around the kitchen, and I bet that’s the case at many other homes, too. And it’s important that it is well organized to run efficiently and effectively. Being on the hunt for a new fridge, we knew some things that we were looking for to help with this (fridge on the top, ice maker, and lots of drawers). But, what we also realized is how important it is for us to have a well organized fridge. So, I’m sharing our top 5 fridge organization tips in hopes of it helping you, too.

Plastic Portable Deep Storage Bin

Plastic storage bins are great for keeping things compartmentalized in your fridge. They keep like things together and also make it easier to take things out of the fridge.

These bins are also exceptionally helpful when putting meat in your fridge. So often the packages will get tears or leaks and you won't notice until your meat starts to thaw. These are very easy to clean and let you see exactly what is inside.

These come in many shapes and sizes, with handles and lids as options, too, so you are sure to find just what you need to get your fridge organized.

2

Label Maker

Anytime leftovers go in the fridge or something not in its original package, it needs a label. Anybody needs to be able to identify what is in the container as well as the date it was made. A label maker makes it super easy to include all of the important information in a very readable way. The labels also come off easily from many storage containers.

3

Glass Food Storage Containers

It is nice to have everything in a clear container in the fridge so you can easily see what's in it (even with the label on it). I like glass containers that can easily go from fridge to microwave or even oven. I also prefer containers with sides instead of round containers. The square and rectangular ones are easier to place next to each other without losing precious fridge space.

4

Reusable Storage Bags (8 Pack) Silicone and Plastic Free Ziplock for Food

With 4 kids and a husband packing lunches, it's nice to be able to have things ready to grab and go. These reusable silicon storage bags making packing lunch items ahead of time much easier.

Washable Refrigerator Mats

These washable refrigerator mats help make cleanup less of a chore. You can also cut them to size so they look custom for your refrigerator.
