Hero Fruit Spreadables Review and Giveaway

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

Recently, I checked out the label on our “fruit spread” we use for the girls.  First ingredient?  Raspberries.  Second? High Fructose Corn Syrup.

Now, I’m not a super paranoid HFC mom.  I just make sure it’s in moderation.  We don’t do a lot of packaged foods, so it’s okay with me (no judgy mcjudgerton, okay!)

But, I have been introduced to Hero Fruit Spreadables.  Hero is the world leader in gourmet fruit spreads. Created specifically with kids in mind, the new Fruit Spreadables are extra smooth, seedless spreads for 100% natural PB&J sandwiches.

I’ve sampled these fruit spreads, and I can vouch for them: they’re delicious. I have no doubt your kids would go wild for them. Hero Fruit Spreadables contain all natural ingredients, no High Fructose Corn Syrup and are available in four fruit blends: Strawberry Red Currant, Mixed Berry, Strawberry Banana, and Cherry Banana.

The girls really liked the flavors with bananas and so did their friends.

It was really easy to spread.  Way easier than any other spreads we’ve used before.

And, we cut them into fun animal shapes (well, I don’t think a butterfly is an animal, but there’s a dog, a dolphin and one more).

The PB&Js were a huge hit.  Those are happy, well-fed kiddos.

What I’d like to see improved:

I know that they have removed the seeds for the kids, but we have seeds in our jelly/spread.  And, the girls like it.  And, I like how tastes more like the fruit and more natural. I’d be nice if they could add seeds to some flavors.

Also, the first ingredient is sugar.  Let’s swap this. I’m convinced they can be made with the first ingredient as fruit!

Buy it:

Hero Fruit Spreadables are available exclusively at SuperTarget stores nationwide.

The oldest will eat any jelly placed on his bread. The youngest actually prefers his PB with no J. But he might make an exception for strawberry banana. I just want to know what red currant tastes like!

  17. Ya know, I REALLY wish I had a contribution to this topic :-). My 9 year old, just RECENTLY…and by recently, I mean within the past 6 months, ate a sandwich for the first time! ALL she’ll eat is Boars Head Mesquite Smoked Turkey on Ciabatta bread. No condiments…just meat & bread. I WISH she’d eat a PB&J sandwich. Great post though! 😉

    1. Well, I have to be honest. That sounds tasty to me. I would maybe add lettuce, but I don’t like condiments, either!

      But, I will eat a PB&J:)
