It’s crunch time, but I know there are many people still shopping out there. Nintendo has some of the hottest holiday gifts and stocking stuffers this year for both kids and adults alike. Luckily, they have the full gamut of pricing, too, so it can work for your budget. Thank you to Nintendo for sending us some surprise games.
Named on of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2018, Nintendo Labo delivers STEM fun for all. It’s a great combination of DIY cardboard kits that are crafted to work with the Nintendo Switch system. It’s a fun way to create, play and discover with interaction build and experience creations, called Toy-Con. We’ve had fun with our previous set…the fishing game Is definitely a favorite. I’m still intrigued by how it works. We are excited to try out the Nintendo Labo Vehicle Kit.

Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! + Poke Ball Plus Pack
Admittedly, Pokemon is very new to us. We haven’t played, but this Poke Ball Plus seems like a fun physical addition to the game. The game features beloved characters like Brock and Misty. The Poke Ball Plus accessory lights up, vibrates and makes sounds bringing your adventure game to life. It also allows you to connect with the Pokemon GO app on smartphones to transfer Kanto-region Pokemon. We are excited to play Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! + Poke Ball Plus Pack.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Video game icons clash in the ultimate brawl that can be played anytime and anywhere on the Nintendo Switch System. Every fighter in Super Smash Bros. history is back and they are joined with newcomers like Isabelle from Animal Crossing, Simon from Castelvania and even then trainer from the Wii fitness games. There are mover 70 playable fighters, a plethora of modes (over 100 stages), local and online multiplayer.
Super Mario Party
Launched on on October 5th the party comes to Nintendo Switch in this complete refresh of Super Mario Party complete with the board game mode! Walk the board and choose which Dice Block to roll, and how to win the most Stars in skill-based minigames. The board game will take 4 players about an hour. Even if you don’t have 4 players, you will play the computer…which seems to be really good! Super Mario Party has been a lot of fun here!
Nintendo has a lot of other goodies you can find that your family will love experiencing together. Check out 6 of our family’s favorite games for Nintendo Switch.
