Feeling comfy and easy to push on our walk to school is important to us. It’s an added bonus that it’s in style! So when we were offered the change to test out the new Incredibles 2: Limited-Edition Disney Baby Stroller (Adorra 5-in-1 Modular Travel System with Mico Max 30 Infant Car Seat by Maxi-COSI) I was excited! It’s also nice that the girls are just as excited because they like to push their littlest sister around in this Incredibles 2 stroller, too. I’m sure you want to know all of the features of this new and trendy stroller and why you might want it.
Incredibles 2: Limited Edition Baby Stroller with Mico Max 30 Infant Car Seat
In celebration of the return of your favorite incredible family in theatres this summer for Disney • Pixar’s “Incredibles 2”, Maxi-Cosi released a limited-edition Disney Adorra 5-in-1 Modular Stroller and Car Seat Travel System equipped with plush interior fabric depicting a brightly colored print of Mr. and Mrs. Incredible and the entire family.
This travel system comes in a fairly large box. The car seat is in one and the stroller is in the other. It took less than 10 minutes to unpack and put it all together. I think the longest part of the process was opening the boxes.
The Incredibles 2 Car Seat
You’ll find the fun Incredibles 2 fabric on the carseat and neck supports. These adorable fabrics are self-wicking which deodorize and draw liquids away from the skin to help keep baby dry and comfortable during the ride. The Mico Max 30 is the lightest premium infant car seat in its class and is comfortable to carry. The car seat has a reversible Cozi-Dozi insert provides head and neck support for smaller babies.
It features superior safety for your baby with Air Protect Side Impact Protection and an anti-rebound bar to make every ride safer. This rebound bar on the shell is flush with the vehicle seat. You can also adjust the base to ensure a proper fit in your vehicle. It is super easy to install with a one-click LATCH system. One thing to note is that the shoulder harness must be rethreaded to adjust the height of the harness.
It is very easy to transfer the car seat to the stroller which means you can keep your new baby snugly in the car seat when switching from car to stroller. And once outside, you’ll want to make sure to take advantage of the flip-out visor for maximum UV protection.
The Incredibles 2 Stroller
You’ll also find the fabric on the head support, the liner’s reversible undressed and the fabric on the buckle as well as the neck supports. The stroller includes an adjustable Cozi-Dozi infant support for smaller babies and the super soft fabrics and padding ensure a comfy ride.
Weight and size limits
The lightweight and comfortable-to-carry Mico Max 30 infant car seat supports babies rear-facing from the low weight of 4 all the way to 30 pounds and up to 32 inches. The car seat can go on the stroller base to make it at travel system, too. More on that below.
The Adorra stroller ensures a comfy ride for children up to fifty pounds. The Adorra stroller can be used from birth (at 4 pounds) with the car seat or with the stroller seat once the child can sit up unassisted. The maximum the stroller can support 50 lbs. AND when the child is seated, the midpoint of the child’s head is at or below the top of the stroller seat. It’s hard to see here because of the folds of the super-sized sunshade folding up. She’s also 4.5 years old here.
Incredibles 2 Stroller Storage
Under the stroller there is ample storage. I used our giant backpack that at one time was a diaper bag for two kids in cloth diapers and there is still room to spare. In fact, the extra-large basket expands to fit larger items.
On one side of the bars you can place a cup holder (include) and the other side, an insulated bag. It’s nice to have these add-ons, but I do prefer a parent console so it doesn’t add to any width to the stroller.
Reversible and Reclining
While you only see the stroller seat in the forward-facing position, it is easy to remove and reinstall in the parent-facing position. You’ll want to use the rear-facing riding option with the carriage mode (featuring a full-recline and secure included space) with full recline keeps infants comfy in the stroller.
These grey side buttons allow you to adjust the footrest or create the carriage mode.
However, when using the car seat in the stroller, you will only want to use it in the parent facing position.
Switching between stroller seat and car seat
If you have the stroller with the “seat” attached, you will use the grey buttons under the belly bar. You will press them on both sides and life the seat straight off the stroller frame.
To use the car seat with the stroller, you’ll need to use these seat adapters (included with the travel system). They are labeled accordingly and very easy to slide into place. (When you want to remove them, push the black buttons and lift them off).
With the adapters, you slide the car seat into them and listen for the click to make sure it’s properly attached. When you are ready to remove the seat, press the grey buttons on each side at the same time and lift the seat out.
Sunshade and recline
There are several recline positions. To adjust, you press the button on the back of the stroller seat and allow it to drop to the position you or your child would like.
You can see that the seat adjusts very far back and the sunshade provides a lot of shade for the child in the stroller.
With a family with parents of two very different heights, we really appreciate it when stroller handles have adjusting heights. To make the handle taller, press the button on the underside of the handle and pull up.
You can see the handle fully expanded in the top picture with B. To lower the handle back down, press the same button and push down.
Belly Bar / No child tray
When I first started using strollers for my kids, I thought I wanted a child tray for them to have stuff on it. I found, however, that most of the time, it just left a place for projectiles and we hardly used it. There is a belly bar that comes with the stroller seat. It’s very easy to put on and take off. My kids love belly bars because they think it’s like a roller coaster bar!
To buckle the harness on the stroller, you have to piece these two pieces together and then push them into the main buckle. I’m not a huge fan of this kind of bucket because you have to hold it all together while pushing it into the buckle. The advantage is it’s all buckled at one time instead of each side separately.
The Brake / Wheels
The location of the brake is both handy and tricky. It’s easy to press it and make sure the wheels lock. However, that also means that you can easily and accidentally step on when you are on a stroll. It didn’t happen that I fully pressed it,
The front wheels can be locked into position so you can only push the stroller straight. I believe you are technically supposed to lock the front wheels when you are using the car seat in the stroller, but I’ve never found that incredibly practical. So, read the manual and parent accordingly.
Folding it up
If you are using the seat, you first need to fold the stroller seat down by squeezing these buttons together and pushing the seat forward.
You can fold the stroller base with or without the seat on it by pulling the gray part of the handle (behind the seat) to the side and then pushing the button and twisting. Then, you push the handle down towards the basket to fold it up. This button is hard for me to figure out where to stand when I’m folding the stroller. You ideally stand up and reach over the handle and push the handle down. But, I found myself wanting to stand underneath the handle. Practice makes perfect, so just keep practicing.
Folded up with the seat, the Incredibles 2 stroller is fairly compact. I like that it stands when folded as I’ve had many strollers that don’t and they fall down.
Overall, it’s a very nice stroller with cute fabrics that help keep baby and child cool (a huge plus for our Georgia summers). I really like the car seat with the rebound bar and I know the person I pass that along to will really appreciate it.
