The lost quad?

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

When I was pregnant with #1 over 4 years ago, I didn’t have many good friends that had done the “pregnancy thing.”  So, I reached out to an online community.

It really was a great place to compare how things were going, voice our concerns and chat with people that were in the same stage of their pregnancy.

One person that I chatted with a lot was Amber.  Amber is a wonder Christian wife and mother that lives in Savannah.  Her pregnancy was just a touch different than mine, however.

She is the mother of these fabulous boys.  These fabulous identical triplet boys.  They are exactly 2 months older than #1.

During our Spring Break trip to Savannah, we were lucky enough to met up with Amber and her boys, Brody, Collin and Lex at Forsyth Park.

At one point, they wanted to race.  We suggested they go to the big open field and race.  For some reason, they started putting their hands over their heads.  And then, they were off.

I think they all won.

After racing and playing in the park, we walked around Savannah all holding hands.  I’m sure we were adorable.  The four of our oldest kids between me and Amber and Mr. Serious pushing the stroller.

As we were walking and talking, we both starting thinking, “our kids could totally be related” and “people must think they are quads.”  They all have red-tinted hair and the cutest little freckles across their noses.

What do you think?  #1 is their lost quadruplet sister?  I think she could totally pass for it!

Thank you all for your support and comments yesterday where I was the most upset I’ve ever been.  I am glad to know that you all didn’t think I overreacted.  But, I was definitely sad to hear that similar things have happened to you all, too.

  8. She could totally pass for a sister quad! How cute and what fun that was.

  9. oh man, she really could be!

and as for the previous post, way to go for saying something, too many people seem to think that kids should be locked up till they're older but think of how they'd act in public if you did that! anyway, my motto is 'without children, we would be nothing'. not just for the fact that our lives wouldnt have the same purpose, but also literally, we would never have adults if we didn't have children first.

  10. What an adorable bunch of red-headed cuties! They all certainly do look like they could be related 😉
    What a fantastic day!

  11. They all do look alike!! Soo cute, I love the picture with their hands above their heads!! I think that is soo neat that you got to meet up with an online friend! I am doing that with someone I met online through blogging next week, I am excited!!

  12. 4 times the trouble, 4 times the cuteness. Definitely quads. Looks like they had a great time. And thank you for the advice/comment on the dying post. Appreciate it.

  13. wow! she could definitely be the sister of that bunch!

  14. For sure! Did you get any quad comments? I'm sure there were people thinking that one of you were the nanny & the other the Mom & Dad of these 5 kiddos – 4 quads & a baby….think how CRAZY that would be! Pretty sweet!

  15. Adorable pictures! They could all totaly pass as siblings! It's awesome that you were able to meet up with someone that was such a big support to your during your pregnancy.

As for your last post, I think it's wonderful that you said something. People can be so incredibly rude sometimes when it comes to children. I used to waitress and there are adults out there that are 10 times worse at dinners than children…yet somehow that's acceptable?!?!? Crazy! You go girl!

  16. Krystyn, do you take all of these photos yourself? If so adorable pictures and you have a great camera!

(Oh and I read your previous post (it's my first visit to your blog) and I'm SO glad that you confronted them. I'm sure it wasn't easy but it was right. Good for you! What? Were they never children once? Ridiculous!)

  20. Awwwwwww, they are so darn cute all puttin' their hands up in the air like they just don't care. Ah ha ha

  21. I'm so glad you wrote that; my first thought when looking at the photo was
Wow, they look like 4 siblings…3 brothers and a sister…

I didn't read yesterday's post. Apparently things are better now (?) and I'm now going to read it. I'm a little "slow"…

  22. Okay, just read it and want to weigh in. I think absolutely they were rude and wrong and had clearly forgotten their own childhood…I am totally amazed and impressed that you handled it so well. I don't know that I could have. The only thing I wish could have happened would have been that management was made aware of YOUR discomfort. Still, you handled it well. I don't like it when people can't tolerate kids.

  23. I totally think they look like quads too! 🙂 It was so much fun meeting y'all in person! We definitely have to get together again sometime!!! Thanks for the sweet compliments. 🙂

  24. Great Pics and you are so right. They could be related!!!!

  25. Wow, the resemblance is truly amazing. I would have guessed siblings!

  26. Too cute. She does look like the lost quad. That's neat you got to meet up with a friend.

  27. Oh my goodness they totally look alike!! WOW, that is actually uncanny!

How fun you all got to meet up!
