Try not to get wet | Mommy and Me Monday | 546th

Our church has been knocking it out of the park when it comes to the Thursday night drive in children’s service. It’s still quite the hustle to get there after socially distanced cross country running and dinner, but we make it.

There’s singing, dancing, hand-jiving, Bible stories and lessons and fun family games.

This week, we had to fill a bucket at the end of the line by scooping water and passing it from cup to cup over our heads. The person that drove got to be in the front…I think that saved me from getting soaked. I’m pretty sure the kids would have taken advantage of that.

I’m not sure why the oldest was so far behind me? It also looks like she let a good bit of my water go on the ground. By the time the timer went off, we had a little water in our last bucket. And a couple wet kids!

I just kept trying to fill my cup and get it on the line as soon as possible.

Then it was time to hula hoop. Or maybe that was before the water? This whole being home thing really has my memory shot. Either way, we hula hooped.

Word on the street is this week we are supposed to bring water guns and we get to squirt the leaders from our car…we’ll see how that goes!

WHAT DID YOU DO THIS WEEK?

GET IN THE PICTURE WITH YOUR KIDS! Who cares what you look like? Cares how you appear? Who cares what you are wearing? JUST DO IT! Come share your picture on the Facebook thread or use #MommyAndMeMonday!

It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. I don’t have any kids but it really looks like a great activity. I know kids can get bored and troublesome without things to keep them occupied.

I think it could be fun with adults, too…but probably not likely to have enough adults in your quarantine pod to make it fun.

This looks like a lot of fun and a great idea for teenagers as well.
