While the oldest was off on her choir tour and mission trip this week, the other three girls and I had the week to ourselves. They also went to VBS in the evenings!
We took a trip to Tellus where the girls’ favorite thing to do is pan for gems and dig for fossils.
We also visited the YMCA where the girls climbed the rock wall, had a few lunches out and went to the library.
We actually made more than one trip. The girls picked out their books and dove right into them. So much so that they finished them and wanted more. This is definitely not a problem to have at all.
In fact, after one trip, the ride home was so quiet. I pulled into the driveway and nobody was getting out. I grabbed my phone and snapped a picture of them all deep into their library books and not even realizing we were home.
Then they caught me, so I asked them to show me the books they were reading.
There was also quite a bit of chill and down time because VBS had them pretty exhausted and up later than usual. The week flew by without the oldest home and we were all happy to pick her up Friday afternoon.
We’ve got lunches packed and backpacks out and all ready for a week of camp fun. Fingers crossed the rain holds off so they can enjoy lake and pool time.
