Month three for B

My sweet B. I can’t believe it’s already been THREE months since you arrived at our house. You’ve already changed and grown so much (you were just weighed last week and are topping the scales at exactly 12 pounds). You are just so sweet.

Happy Three Months, B

Once I figured out that dairy and gluten weren’t good for your yummy, you’ve been the happiest baby. You only cry when you are hungry or tired (and occasionally when a burp is stuck). You have the sweetest smile. When daddy is holding you on his lap while we eat dinner, you just stare at me and give me the biggest smile. And, I’m a total puddle of mush.

Happy Three Months, B

While you are happy most of the time, you don’t relax very well. You don’t snuggle up on mommy’s chest and just relax your little head in the nook of my neck. I guess it’s because you don’t want to miss anything. Hopefully soon you’ll realize you aren’t missing much and you’ll go back to being my snuggly sweetness.

Happy Three Months, B

We had your partial tongue-tie snipped at just a couple days old, but you still have a high palate. Because of this, (I think) you don’t take a paci. And, the idea of your hands is super alluring to you, but you only chomp/suck on your knuckles and don’t successfully get any fingers in your mouth. You want to, but it just doesn’t happen. It does however, result in very slobbery fingers.

Happy Three Months, B

You love to sit in the bouncy seat and watch the monkey and frog move up and down. You giggle and coo at them. You aren’t a fan of tummy time, or really playing on your playtime mat for any period of time. But you sure love your swing. And your sisters. They get some of your best smiles, too.

Happy Three Months, B

And just so it’s on record, I just took these pictures two days after your official three month birthday! I have since, at the suggestion of your aunt, put a reminder in my phone. I really, truly don’t think it’s because you are numero quatro. Honestly, it’s because your birthday is like a total different time of the month then I’m used to. Your sisters are the 14th, 13th and 15th. And then you are the 29th. It throws mommy for a loop. But, I’ll do better!

We love you sweet Baby B! We know you are going to keep growing and changing more and more every month, so we have to stop and recognize everything as it happens.

PS. I did get one picture of you on your actual three month birthday doing what you do best. Eating. And falling asleep on mommy while doing so.

PPS. We did go to the aquarium for your three month birthday and got a very cool behind the scenes tour. So, you can’t ever say we didn’t celebrate it in style!

Thank you! These red heads constantly puzzle us. I don’t know the odds of a recessive gene being that strong. It’s sort of crazy that we have three redheads!

Happy 3 months cutie pie! I like how your mommy documents all your doing at specific ages. I think I will try that for your cousins 8 months. You’ll find your fingers…Logan is sending finger soothing juju your way.

She is absolutely beautiful. It’s funny how each baby we have is different from the other (s). My second was nothing like his big brother. He still isn’t.

My son is just a little younger than B (16 days) and is a lot like B in that he loves to smile and look at dangly toys. I wonder if he has a high palate as well, because he likes a paci but cannot keep it in his mouth!
