Mother’s Day, Hooray! Mommy and Me Monday | 325th ed

By my calculations, I have one Mother’s Day tea left with this little girl before she flies off to elementary school. Which is sort of crazy for me to process. Also, whatever those teachers say to the kiddos about Mother’s Day and that tea…maybe we could get it to carry over like a couple more times in the year? Because they are pretty much the sweetest ever that day!

Most days, I can’t get her to throw her own trash away without her at least having something to say, but Mother’s Day tea day, they really put on the charm. She brought me my lunch, took care of anything I need and even cleared my trash when I was done.

I think the older kids had talks at school, too, because they were asking for all of the pictures this week as well. It was really nice, actually. They came up to me and asked to take a picture with me. Not like we haven’t been doing this Mommy and Me Monday thing for six years or anything!

I was pretty spoiled on Mother’s Day this year. That hasn’t always been the case. But, I loved that the girls helped pick out some gifts and favorites of mine and they were well thought out. I mean, we needed a laundry basket, so why not buy one to package my gifts? The best treat? The 8 macarons they picked up for me…I might have eaten them all in one day. Thank goodness for kickboxing and kettle bell class tomorrow.

I know everybody’s Mother’s Day isn’t the same as mine. Heck, there have been many of mine that have been the opposite of this.

So, I leave you with the words Mr. Serious shared this morning:

Hey Moms. You hold your children as God holds us, in your hands. Your children will never be lost or forsaken in your hands.

For those that are having a not ideal Mother’s Day, due to loss or a lost relationship or something else, remember that God has not forsaken you.

Be blessed my friends.

“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” Isaiah 49:16 | NIV

What were you up to this week?

Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up!

It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. 1. Aww, looks like you had an amazing day! Happy Mother’s Day 🙂

  2. Looks like a wonderful day. Laughing at the laundry basket. And, beautiful words by Mr. Serious. While I had a great day with my kids, I had a few people on my mind that I knew were suffering yesterday whether missing a mom or missing a child. It helped remind me to enjoy it all – even the tantrums (which, truthfully, can be hard to enjoy).

  3. First of all, I LOVE the family car selfie (groupie?). Anyway, you guys are the cutest! I can’t believe how quickly the girls are growing, and I know what you mean about missing all of those preschool programs. My little one has one more year before kindergarten. Sniff, sniff.

  4. Okay, that last bit made me cry. Lump in my throat now.

Such a gorgeous family you have. I am so glad you had such a lovely Mother’s Day. You deserve it! 🙂

  5. My son decided to show us just how difficult he could be the entire Mother’s Day weekend. We tried to make the most of it, and I’m hoping it was just a fluke. I love the group photo in your car. 🙂 My photos with my boy are taking more and more convincing!
