I think it’s safe to say, after returning from Disney World, the girls are even more enamored with all things Disney. However, most of the movies we have are too scary for them (even the classics). A long time ago, we used to have cable and they watched shows like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Osobear. But now that we don’t, they don’t get to watch them. They didn’t realize they were missing them until we went to Disney World!
Recently, I purchased a Roku box. And, the perfect addition to that is Netflix. After our return from Disney World, we were given the chance to try out Netflix. Admittedly, we didn’t have an account (we had one many years ago as a gift), so I jumped at the chance, especially with the girls home for the summer.
Netflix is very easy to navigate from the computer and from my iPhone, but it’s actually incredibly easy from our Roku box. Both the 6 and 4 year old can do it with ease. In addition to fun Disney shows, like Phineas and Ferb, and Mickey Mouse Club House, there are also full feature length films available for instant streaming. They’ve watched Secret of the Wings a couple times, and there is even 101 Dalmatians, Fox and the Hound, Dumbo and more.
A commercial-free, all-you-can-watch Netflix subscription is only $8 per month to stream to your computer, TV or device.
- Streaming is easier than you think. Download the free app on your iPad, click on the Netflix app on any gaming device – and you’re in business
- Netflix is so simple to use that kids are streaming their favorites more than ever on mom and dad’s tablets
- Netflix Kids offers movies and TV shows for children 12 and under in one spot
- We work with Common Sense Media to provide ratings, reviews and information so parents can easily make choices for their kids
We’ve been very happy with our Netflix experience. Even the adults have enjoyed a couple date night movies as well as comedian specials.
Thank you to Netflix for providing the subscription for our review and giveaways. All thoughts are my own. No compensation was received.
