Afternoon showers are a frequent occurrence here. So much so, that when watching the weather forecast, it isn’t uncommon to hear them say "Some of you will see rain, and others will see sun and clouds." I’m not sure what that leaves out. Hail? Blizzards? Snow?
After a recent storm, we were trying to figure out what we were going to do. #1 said "let’s go play in the rain."
And, well, we did.
There is just something about this picture. I don’t know what it is, but I love it.
They were jumping and splashing like they hadn’t seen water in quite some time. And, in that moment, it was the best thing for all of us.
#1 is catching some serious air. It reminds me of those ads where they freeze the person, and background, and then start spinning the person around. (Who was that, apple?)
And, #2, well, she just loves her sister to pieces, and whatever #1 does, she has to do, immediately.
Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. #2 came out of her tear duct probe surgery awesomely. She slept off the anesthesia and didn’t scream. She ate her snack and we left. We have drops in her eyes for the next week and a follow up next month.
