After what I would like to call a stressful day of no listening, misbehaving and no napping (for the second day in a row), #1 and I “had a little talk.”

After our talk, we worked on repeating what she was going to do in order to make sure it sunk in:

Me: “Repeat after me: ‘I am going to be a good girl.'”
#1: “I am going to be a good girl.”

Me: “I will listen to mommy and daddy.”
#1: “I will listen to mommy and daddy.”

And a couple more…then

Me: “I will do what mommy and daddy tell me to do.”
#1: “I will tell mommy and daddy what to do.”

Hmmmm….not quite what I was hoping for.

And, if you doubt her sassiness..take a look!

  1. I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with this issue. Lately, K will act like she is listening then start laughing in ur face while you are scolding her. Great times isn't it. Hang in there, it has to get better.

  2. I am telling you I believe everyone who says that the 3's are worse than the 2's. SO TRUE!

    Oh the things kids say!

  4. Isn't she a little young to be sassy? Or is it just me being forgetful in my old age. I know that sassiness comes in abundance later on (as I get my fair share from my 7 and 11 yr olds ;o)

  5. I've heard that about those fiery redheads. 😉

But I will wish you luck, lots of luck.
    You are gonna need it.

Would it help to tell you that she sure is cute when she is sassy?
    Yeah…you already knew that!

  19. I'm sure glad that there are other people out there with kids that have sass and don't listen. The kids I nanny for play that game for me every once in a while. It annoys the heck outta me!! Timeout and those kids are best friends right now. Hope things get better for you!!

    Love, Mere

I love her curls, they are adorable 🙂

  24. Aah! My son is the same way. Who would've thought a little boy would be so sassy? Not me.

  25. I think the 3's are definitely worse than the 2's…..love that stare!!

Chandler is either the sweetest child ever or she is a monster….not much in between.

  26. HA HA! Her last comment cracked me up….sassy is right! But still so cute. 😉

  27. No nap for two days, the worst.

Hoping she decided to finally take one, because an overtired preschooler is no fun at all 🙂

  28. This sounds like my WEEK. Seriously. My kids have been nasty nasty nasty – like I want to put them out on the lawn with a For Sale sign on them, nasty. Perhaps it has to do with my "condition" but seriously…

Hang in there! It surely can't get any worse! At least that's what I'm saying. 🙂

  29. Kids definitely have their sassy moments. I had mine.

It will get better! My mom didn't put up that at all.
