So, I told her she could go to the potty, and she went upstairs right to the potty. I pulled off her pants and her diaper, and she immediately peed. Quickly, I held the diaper back up and caught most of it.
She still wanted to sit on the potty, so she did. And up and down and up and down for about 5 minutes. I made up a “poo poo on the potty song” and we sang. We were both very patient. Then, she sat down and tooted and said “poo poo.” I told her that is wasn’t a poo poo, and she kept sitting.
Then, all of a sudden, she started peeing on the potty. Then as she grunted, she said “poo poo” and she did. I’m not sure who was more surprised, me or her. We praised her and told her what a good job she had done.
She pee-peed on the potty a couple more times this weekend and last night. We aren’t forcing anything, but she really seems interested.
As a reward for going on the potty, I thought I would give her a bubble bath (because we’ve been rushing through bath time lately because of all the “floaties” in the tub). Bad idea…she HATED the bubbles. So, we drained the tub, filled it again and really had to convince her to take a bath.
