I participated in this sponsored campaign on behalf of REACH® and One2One Network. All opinions stated are my own.

When I do things with the girls that aren’t always the most fun things ever in the world to do, they are more likely to do it without grumbling. Especially the hygiene things (boy moms, I assure you, girls are just as bad at their hatred for showers, dislike of brushing their teeth and hair and wearing deodorant). So, this day we did a little mouth wash swishing together.

Mouthwashing together

And, honestly, I should do it more often with them when I’m still awake and coherent and thinking! Case in point, I woke up this morning wondering why my eyes were having a hard time seeing…oh, that’s because I slept in my contacts. So, yeah, doing doing my mouthwash and flossing with the girls is one way to make sure I do it.

REACH

In fact, a recent study from REACH shows 82% of the nation’s moms never skip brushing their teeth every night. No matter how busy our day gets, it’s still important to make it a priority to also floss and use a rinse.

The younger girls use a Hello Kitty version of the rinse, while the oldest and I use the new REACH® Complete Care™ Rinse. The 8-in-1 rinse kills bad breath germs, helps prevent gingivitis, reduces plaque, fights tartar build-up, freshens breath and cleans the whole mouth by foaming between the teeth with no burn of alcohol. I like that it also has a spot to hold my toothbrush as our bathroom doesn’t have a place for it!

Do you do things with your kids that they might not typically want to do, but since they get to see you doing it to, they are excited to to it, too?

What were you up to this weekend?

Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up!

It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. 1. My daughter always asks me about my mouthwash: “does it taste good?” “why do you do that?” and “eeeew, that sounds funny!” when I gargle to make her laugh. Maybe I need to get her her own kid-friendly rinse.

it is great you are teaching the girls good oral hygiene – believe it or not my hygienist told me about a patient she has that never brushes his teeth he only gets them cleaned 2 times a year. YUCK!!!!

  3. Great idea! I typically take care of my own teeth brushing, contacts and face washing before bed. I try to encourage my son to brush his own teeth at his bath time, but often have to help him because otherwise he’ll do a “quick” and not so thorough job. His uncle just gave him some kids’ mouthwash this past weekend (lucky for us the uncle works for the company so it was free) and he was begging to brush his teeth all weekend just to use that bubble gum flavor mouth wash after. LOL At least for a short bit, hopefully, that extra incentive will encourage him, but I should try brushing with him to help him learn to do so for 2 minutes. No skimping on time when my electric brush has the built in timer.
