Boo DisneyBound from Monsters Inc

When my friends said we were going to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party, I didn’t really know what to expect. Then, they told me that we were going to wear costumes, or at the very least DisneyBound. As ideas started flowing, we came up with all of us being different Pixar kids. Lindsey was Darla from Finding Nemo, Meghan was Vanellope von Schweetz from Wreck It Ralph and I was going to do a Monsters Inc Boo DisneyBound. I’m pretty sure I had the easiest bound!

(You can wear a costume at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, but this was way more fun!)

See more details from Lindsey’s Darla DisneyBound and grab Meghan’s Vanellope Van Schweetz as a whole ensemble.

Who is Boo?

Boo is the adorably sweet little toddler that accidentally finds herself inside the Monsters Inc headquarters. She ends up forming a super special bond and relationship with Kitty, aka Sullivan.

boo from monsters inc Boo has such an easy look to duplicate. Her cute little pigtails (I wasn’t going to go for a cut or bangs), her hair bobbles, a tunic and leggings and I was all done. I opted for regular athletic shoes, but you could always go for solid white for a more authentic look.

What is a DisneyBound?

According to the creator of DisneyBounding “DisneyBounding is a way for teenagers and adults to show their love and appreciation for Disney and play dress up without actually wearing a costume so it takes trendy clothes and bases the outfits after Disney characters.”

Because adults and teens aren’t allowed to wear costumes to Disney parks most of the year, it’s a fun way to be a character without being a character.

Essentials for your Monsters Inc. Boo DisneyBound?

Everything that I wore for my DisneyBound costume was purchased on amazon. This meant I was able to get it in one shopping trip without having to hunt around for everything.

I started with a coral colored tunic (this is the brand I purchased, but seems the color is no longer there), but there are plenty of options! Find one you like and run with it.

Next I purchased some purple capri length leggings (this is the brand I previously purchased, but check to see if they have the lighter purple in stock).

Being summer, or feeling like summer, you’ll definitely want to complete the look with your hair in pigtails and some pink hair baubles. I think that’s what completes the look and helped every person that we ran into know that I was Boo!

I’d recommend going overboard on some very pink blush and giving your cheeks a bit of an over-exaggerated childish glow.

Lindsey also found me a tiny Sully aka “Kitty” to carry just in case anybody couldn’t figure it out!

When dressed like Boo, you have to take the opportunity to find Kitty. We were there just in time for the Monstrous Scream-O-Ween and I had to get a dance with Sully. He actually came over and found me because he knew I was Boo! I got some smoochy sounds from behind that big blue guy!

There were also a lot of extra un-staged hugs. I’d definitely recommend if you DisneyBound as Boo you try to find the rest of the Monsters Inc. characters. And if you DisneyBound as another character, make sure to find the rest of the characters from your respective movie or show.

Get your Trick Or Treat On!

All of the meet and greets are a fantastic way to see all of your favorite characters! As an added added bonus of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party is the trick or treating. And Disney does the trick or treating very well! The candy is plentiful and generous. But, don’t worry, if you have allergies or food concerns, you can still trick or treat at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party with allergies and get special treats and rewards, too!
